Notifications from Samsung Galaxy S5 to Vivomove 3S suddenly stopped

I have had my Vivomove 3S for almost one year and it has been great. Until about two weeks ago. The smart notifications from my phone - text messages and incoming phone calls - suddenly stopped. I have done all the troubleshooting and have spoken to Garmin support centre. No change. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?
