Garmin Connect redesign / light mode

Is there ever a plan for a redesign of the app ? Or a light mode, not just a dark mode?

E.g. Polar has a much better-designed app, while Garmin Connect feels like it was designed >5 years ago (when the android design language was still in its infancy... ) and not up to date.

And the non-existing home button/menu really bugs me as well (you can only get there using the back button/ gesture, however, that doesn't work with activities open via notifications, instead it just closes the apps -.-)

  • non-existing home button/menu

Where would you want this to take you? I use the My Day tab, which takes me back to what I would call the Garmin Connect home screen. The same screen you get when you first open the app.

I can't really speak to the differences between Garmin Connect and Polar Flow (assume that's the app you're referring to). I just installed it and I'm trying to get familiar with it. I'm not seeing a "home" button there either and no way to change to light or dark mode. But maybe I just need to get better acquainted with the software. Also, without a polar device, probably missing a lot.

  • At the meanwhile nothing happens on the app and other brands has a better UI like coros, Strava e.g…
