I recently purchased an Edge 530 to record my cycling activities. Ever since I started using the 530 and Garmin Connect, rides have been uploaded without any prompting by me. For example, during my mtb ride yesterday, I checked my phone at a stop to see that three rides had been uploaded to both Connect and Strava. Each were less than a mile with no map. I did not have wifi or Bluetooth turned on. I did not stop the 530 or save my ride. None of these "phantom" rides were recorded in my 530's history.
This once happened when my 530 was not even on. I was at home and looked at my phone to see another ride posted to Strava and Connect. Due to this instance, I suspect the issue is with Connect itself and not the 530.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anyone else who has experienced this issue. Any thoughts as to what is happening?
