Daily steps disappeared

Hello,

This problem happens for the first time. I had approx. 1300 steps, went for a walk and reached approx. 7500 steps (I saw this on my vivosmart 4). All of sudden, 10-15 minutes later, the steps went back to 1300. I checked on the app on my phone and also on my garmin account on my computer and same thing, only 1300 steps are shown. The app tells me my software is up to date. Can you please help?

It sounds like your VS4 may have crashed. Was there any hint of a problem such as a vibration for seemingly no reason around the time you completed the walk.If so, I think those steps are probably gone for good.

When this happened to me a couple of years ago, the steps showed up in the graph of steps per hour in web Connect but just not in the total. If that's your situation then you can contact Garmin support and ask them to fix it but I think you'll be lucky if they do. They wouldn't do it for me at that time but I heard they did do it for others since.
