Pairing Unsuccessful issues with tactix delta and s10 phone

Hey brains trust, I have just tried to pair a new tactix delta with my Samsung S10 and it won't do it at all. I've tried rebooting both devises, shutting down all other BT decises, and have confirmed software updates. The phone recognises the device and visa visa, but still I get the "pairing Unsuccessful" message. What am I doing wrong? Frusting...

  • Try following the instructions from the video really carefully. Clear also the Bluetooth Cache

    Tried everything in the video, I can see the watch on my available bluetooth devices and if I try to connect it directly to my phone it gives me a code on the watch screen to put into the phone. The garmin connect app just keeps searching for the device without and success finding anything...

    Nope, didn't work. I have tried 3 times as per the instructions in the video, and still the same "pairing failed" message. What next? Throw the watch in the bin?

    Try pairing it with another phone, just to see where the problem is. Or call the Customer Support.

    I was able to finally get it to connect! Here is what I did, I'm not sure which one did the trick but it's working!
    1. Turned my phone to airplane mode then manually turned on wifi and bluetooth only. 
    2. Phone settings, Apps, Connect, Storage, deleted cache and data.
    3. Restarted the phone, ensured was still in airplane mode with only wifi and bluetooth active.
    4. Used my phones VPN app to connect to an Atlanta server.
    5. Launched the garmin connect app, devices, add device, the Tactix Delta solar was not an option so I just selected Tactix Delta, then turned the watch to pairing mode.
    6. The phone somehow automatically recognized the watch as a fenix 6 pro and prompted me to enter the 6 digit code.
    In my garmin connect app the watch shows up as a Tactix Delta solar but all through the setup it was calling it a fenix 6 pro... I'm glad it finally worked but really wish I knew exactly which step was the solution.
