Speedy Century Badge "Elapsed Time" Definition

I am going to attempt the speedy century on my indoor trainer after I complete the training for it. Even if I don't complete it successfully, I will still get credit for a century ride.

The badge definition states "Ride 100 miles with an elapsed time of 5 hours or less."

My question is about the "elapsed time". If I pause my Garmin Edge during the ride to get more water or use the bathroom, is that included in the "elapsed time" for the entire ride? Or is the "elapsed time", only the time the Garmin Edge is recording the ride?

When I took the Speedy Century (January 2020) it was allowed to take a break and that time was not included into the "Elapsed time" for the badge. The real elapsed time in my activity is over 5 hours.
