Tacx ''you can now login with Garmin Connect''. how does it work?

hello,

the tacx app is updated on 1 dec 2020.

the new function is one i was waiting for :

you can now login with gamin connect.

connect your tacx account to your garmin connect account.

your rides will be uploaded to garmin connect if you use a garmin account.

i tried to login with connect account but got an error.

looked on connect side to add the account but did not found how it works.

please give me some advice how i should get it connected.

made a call to garmin, i was told the info is released to soon.

it will take approximately one week before this is live.

so we have to wait...

I also received an update in my Android smartphone. I tried to log out and log in using Garmin Connect account but was not possible :(

Ok, hoping that this functionality will work also calculating Firstbeat metrics and syncing Fisio TrueUp datas.

Thanks for the update. I got crazy looking for the SYNC feature after I read the release notes. It is now clear that the App is hybrid and just a layer of cloud.tacx.com to connect the Tacx. Once they will add the capability to connect to Garmin Connect in cloud.tacx.com it will work. Hope it won't take forever, the manual download and upload of the activity is really mean. As well the link you get (to download the activity) via mail, is "unsafe" for major browsers.

Now it works.
but i cannot use the old App Tacx Cycling App anymore.

Are you speaking about the Tacx Training App or about a older version?

Upto now, I used the TacxCyclingApp, an old version, which is not supported since more than a year or so. I could ride gps rides without paying anything.

Ok, I remember it but I do not use it now.

If it need log-in I think is normal than now is not working.

update is done now you ca login with the garmin account.

when you do it uploads the automaticaly to connect. to bad it does not have physio trueup.

now i still need to use the edge or forerunner to have that feature.

hopfully this will be intergrated also.

Also me, I will continue to use Edge 830 but with wrong speed and elevation datas :(
