Why Garmin Edge is creating partial activities while riding?

While using my edge 530 connected to the phone Garmin Connect creates partial activities while riding. So after a ride I have my activiy recorded plus a lot of small activities. I have checked the memory of the Edge 530 and there is only one activity. So Garmin Connect is creating all theese partial activities that I have to delete after every ride.

Also, is it possible that you have another device with you that is sending to Garmin Connect? An example might be a cadence sensor. Thank you. It seems to me that the speed sensor is the culprit. On the partial activities only my speed sensor is shown at the end with only speed data. Do you know how to solve it. Is there some setup in the device? Or do I need to erase my speed sensor from garmin connect account until garming fixes this?

To stop these partial activities in Garmin Connect, remove the Speed Sensor 2 from Garmin Connect Mobile and you phone/tablet bluetooth paired devices list. You do not need to remove the ANT+ pairing with you Edge 530.

The behaviour of the Speed Sensor 2 is by design so I doubt Garmin will change it. The following DC Rainmaker review covers some of the use casees for this feature:
