Body battery stuck at 5?

I bought a new Venu on Friday. I put it on and it it said my body battery was at 60. It went down to about 25, and was 80 the next morning (Saturday) when I woke up. It went down to 10 overnight. The next sleep put it up to 30.(Sunday) By about 2pm it was down to 5 - and has stayed at 5 ever since. Sleep doesn't seem to have affected the number at all.

It is now stuck on 5 - 24 hours later. Have had good sleep in the meantime (even got a badge for my sleeping).

How do I get this to work properly please?

  • Check out your Stress data - Body Battery recharges during Rest (blue in the graph). Typically, whie sleeping the graph is all blue. You can also try restarting the watch.

The thing is - the 9 hour sleep I had did nothing to raise the level above 5. And I am not stressed at the moment.

  • And I am not stressed at the moment.

Please post a screenshot of the Stress graph - is it all blue during the sleep, or not? If not, then the Body Battery could not recharge. It does not matter whether you feel stressed or not. The stress data is based on the measurement of the HR Variability, not on your feeling.

It is showing up as yellow while I am asleep:

  • No Rest in your data, hence no recharging. Don't you use a pacemaker, btw? That could be one reason not to have any HRV in the data. If not, try rebooting the watch, as I suggested, perhaps the watch is just in some bad state (it can happen for example after an update), and not correctly registering the HRV and Stress. Another option is a health issue - you could try measuring the HRV with another device, if you have the possibility.
