‘Old’ vo2-max data missing after changing watch

Hi, actuallly the issue is everywhere where I use Garmin Connect.

I recently added a new watch to GC and removed the old one as I won’t use that one anymore. Now it seems that all my old vo2-max-data don’t show up anymore. Is this intended behaviour? Or is something wrong?

  • You were not supposed removing the watch, if you wanted to keep the data. You could simply "retire" it. However, I am not quite sure the historical data for VO₂max was really removed. Go to the VO₂max report page at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/report/21/all/last_year and see it for yourself. I bet it is there. More likely it is just your new watch that did not start calculating where the old one stopped, since you did not enable the PhysioTrueUp on both devices, and did not sync both devics together, so that they use the same values.

  • Thanx. Yeah, I removed it as I gave it to my son and when he's here it might sync with mine again. But this morning I found out that there was more VO2max-data. And looking now it shows the history as well. Missing only 2 months during summer when I didn't ran a meter. ;-)
