Stopped Counting Calories

I have a Vivoactive HR and all of a sudden yesterday it has stopped counting calories during recorded workouts.  Can anyone please advise why this is the case or what can be done to rectify?

  • You also need to make the Activity visible to Everyone (click the padlock symbol up right on the Activity page of GC Web)

  • Well, the Calories already do not come through from the device. One of possible reasons is, that there is some data missing in your Device Settings » User Settings. There must be all of the following fields correctly defined: the gender, age (birthday), height, weight and the Activity Class. Verify it both in Garmin Connect, as well as directly on your device.

If everything is all right there, and the calories are still not calculated, you could try resetting the watch to factory settings (so called Master Reset), and configuring anew. If it does not help, and more users of the same model experience the same issue (ask on the forum dedicated to your device model), there might be a bug in the latest firmware. In such case you'll need to contact the Customer Support and reporting the issue, or performing a roll-back to the previous firmware version (you'll need to find someone who kept the last beta-version installation package for that model - it always contains also the roll-back firmware).
