Not sure whether there is a bug, or rather whether you simply did not enable the option DND (Do Not Disturb) during sleep, on your watch. Check out your User Manual on the page Using Do Not Disturb Mode
No, before 9.60 "Sleep time" worked. That made the same thing as "Do not disturb" but automaticly during what ever hours you have set in personal settings. I have used it for years and has never been disturbed during night. Now I have to remember to use "Do not disturb" every evening.
This was a briliant fature and now it is gone. That must be a bug!
(Edited my incorrect parts, the main issue is still there though)
Not sure I understand. Do you have the sleep hours correctly defined on your Fenix3, and are they the same as in the Device Settings in the Garmin Connect Mobile Device Settings » User Settings, and also the same in Garmin Connect Web?
(correction I was too quick about "sleep time" was gone.. . It is there but under the DoNotDisturb status. But never mind that part)
The following setting has worked fine for years:
1. Do Not Disturb: Off (Because in daytime I want vibration-notifications)S
2.Sleep time: On (set to 21:00-08:45) (Because I don't want vibration-notifications during that time)
But after 9.60 I get vibration-notifications during night even when sleep-time is active.
If I change Do Not Disturb to On I will get no vibration-notifications at all, not in dsytime either. (That is what I mannualy must do every morning and evening now, that was automatic before.)
PS. Sleeptime is synced and the same in Connect and in watch, just double checked.
Well, if you are sure that it is a bug in the firmware of your watch, then the user forum cannot really help you, appart from advising you to downgrade to the older firmware. If you know there is a bug, and want to have it fixed, you have to report it to Garmin Customer Support. We here, on the user forum, cannot help you with it..
Aha, kind of thought Garmin official site was the right way and that Garmin followed the different questions here. And sometimes there is workarounds on upgrade bugs. You are correct of course, I will call them.
But if it is possible to downgrade I will do so, didn't think that was possible.
(Just need to figure out how to do downgrade)
Just need to figure out how to do downgrad
There is a fallback installation package with the previous firmware public version in every beta version release. So if you manage to get hold of the last beta installation zip, it contains the previous version. I do not know though where the beta versions for Fenix 3 are being announced, since I do not see a F3 specific forum here.
... well, I found the beta v9.31 for Fenix 3. It should contain the v9.00, so you can try it with that:
https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=9504
Please note that downgrading the firmware will reset your watch to factory defaults, so you wll have to reconnect it to your GC account, and redo all custom settings.
Also do not forget to disable the auto-updates on the watch, to avoid that it is being updated to v9.60 again
