Half Marathon Training Jeff - Time Goal 1:50:00

Hi All,

I hope you are well.

I have been training with Jeff for 12 weeks now for a half marathon, run time goal of 1 hour 50 min.

Ran 17 miles with him on Sunday which i thought was a bit extreme but hey ho, got it done.

I've been following the run / walk strategy to the letter so far and i assumed that Jeff would be increasing my running sections and decreasing my walking times but they are stillk saying walk for 3 minutes after running 4 minutes at goal race pace... seems like a lot of walking.

should i be tapering these walking sections down myself ?

see below - todays schedule is speed repeats

When i run my watch says keep within this pace for 800m. then it says walk for 3 minutes to recover.

Next run is goal pace repeats:

Same run for 800m then walk for 3 minutes.

My concern is that if i carry on walking to recover for 3 minutes every time i'll be nowhere near 1 hour 50 on the day...

Am I doing something wrong ?

Jeff seems pleased with me however:
