Stress and Body Battery are not showing up in the last days in my Instinct smartwatch. Hiw can i reactivate them?

Good morning, 

I bought a Garmin Instinct smartwatch and I find it Just Great. 

It's my first step in Garmin world and im discovering new things every day. 

I find Very usedul Stress and Body Battery data but they don't show up since last Saturday, 7th November.

I tried to find options to activate them but don't know where to go. 

Can you please help me on this?

  • Does the watch show the data for those days? Does the GC Mobile app show Heart Rate data for given days?

    A common reason for the case when some data is missing in the GC account, is when your device is associated with multiple accounts, and a part of the data lands in the other account. It frequently happens for example when you reinstall the application, and inadvertently sign up a new account instead of signing into the original one. Follow the instructions from the support document Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing to resolve the issue.

    Thanks for your answer.

    Actually heart rate data are missing as well since the last run i had some days ago. Probably I've accidentally removed some function related.

    Can you help me how/where to go to reactivate it, please?

  • My Smartwatch has been connected only to my Smartphone and i have one only account. I tried to dissconnect the smartwatch from th esmartphone and reconnected it but it's still the same. Data missing since my last activity.

  • Data missing since my last activity.

    There may be several other reasons. Listing them all below, including the one already mentioned:

    1. Your Privacy Settings do not allow sending data to the Garmin Account (verify the option Storage & Processing), or the device is not set as the Preferred Activity Tracker (check out the Device Settings on the Garmn Connect Mobile app » Activity Tracking » Preferred Activity Tracker)

    2. The BT synchronisation on the phone app does not work (the white circle around the watch symbol never closes) - in that case follow the tips in the Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide. Alternatively, you can sync the data with the GC account over the USB cable and Garmin Express on a compuiter, or manually by importing files from the device folder //GARMIN/ACTIVTY/ to the Import Data page of GC Web (in case of errors during the import, see the hint #3)

    3. When the synchronisation works (the white sync circle closes and turns green), but not all the data is appearing in your account, then it very probably means that your device is associated with multiple accounts, and a part of the data lands in the other account. It frequently happens for example when you reinstall the application, and inadvertently sign up a new account instead of signing into the original one. Follow the instructions from the support document Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing to resolve the issue.

    4. The storage (or a FIT file storing the Activity details or HR data and the steps data) is dammaged or full. Try backing up and deleting old files from the folder //GARMIN/Activity and //GARMIN/Monitor. Look up the last unsynced activities from the folder //GARMIN/Activity, and try importing them manually on the Import Data page of GC Web. If you get errors when trying to import them, try fixing the broken files by passing them through the Section Remover of FIT File Tools (without removing anything), and then importing again the repaired file(s).

  • Synchronization works as all other data (activities, teps, floors) apprars and also live heart pace apprars when I'm Connected. Connection rotation icon works, becomes green at the end and data are imported in Garmin Connect. Only heart rate, stress and Body Battery data are missing from 7th November on.

    Tomorrow I'll try with phone support in Italian otherwise I don't know what to do. 

  • Did you check the first and the fourth tip too?

  • Yes, I did.

    1. Privacy Settings are ok (as all activities I do, even now) are correctly uploaded in GC when I connect the watch to the phone).

    4. All my 9 activities (the watch is new) are correctly uploaded. I tried to uplead them againa but the system says they've already been updated. I'm not that familiar with software so I think I need a support in Italin to help me step by step.

    just to inform you I've been in touch with Garmin Italy Support Team. In the end I had to reset the smartwatch yesterday and everything was running... until 5am this mornig when the same problem (no heart rate, Stress, Body Battery) appeared. I wrote Garmin Italy Support team to understand what's wrong with the watch. Hope it's not broken. Thanks for your support. G.

  • This may be too late to help Giacomo but I experienced this same exact problem in the last few days.  Garmin instinct, everything was working except stress and body battery. 

    What I did was:

    1. Turn off bluetooth on my phone.  Turn it back on, reconnect watch (without forgetting/re-pairing it) - this did not fix it.

    2.  Rebooted watch itself - this did not fix it. 

    3.  Removed the device via Connect app (android), then re-added the device via connect app.  Device was already bluetooth paired to phone but I had to go through the settings menus on the watch to pair it directly within the connect app. 

    Step 3 fixed it and was probably all that was necessary but I included the other two steps in case they actually had something to do with the solution...

    The good news was I didn't have to factory reset anything and didn't lose any of my settings or data. 

    Hope this helps someone else out there.
