Won't let me log into app

I press connect in the app to log in and is says error please add password and email to sign in. Then I do that and it comes back saying that this profile already exists! Well yes it's mine and I want to log in. I've tried deleting the app and loading it back on again but nothing. Please help. 

  • Did you by chance tap Create Account rather than Sign In? If not, and you uninstalled/installed the app and it's still seeing your profile, either it was not completely uninstalled, including data and cache, or you're also using other Garmin apps such as Connect IQ.

    • Long press the Connect app icon to bring up the menu > tap App info
    • Tap Force stop > OK
    • Tap Storage > Clear cache > Clear data > OK
    • Uninstall > OK
    • If you have other Garmin apps such as Connect IQ , uninstall using the above steps
    • Restart phone
    • Install Garmin Connect mobile from the Play Store
    • Open the Garmin Connect app,
    • You should see this. There shouldn't be any other options

    Log in by tapping Sign in (do not tap Create Account)
