Issues with notifications since software version 4.36

I have noticed that notifications for certain apps stop appearing on my fenix 5 plus, after some time, until I open Garmin connect (android) on the phone again, then they work again for some time. Strange thing is that it's not for all apps which I marked in garmin connect (but always the same have issues)...

Notifications keep arriving normally on the phone, but are sometimes not picked up by Garmin connect it seems. Tried all the usual stuff, that is posted on this forum, but no solution. I then did a rollback to previous versions of garmin connect, and noticed that the issue appeared first in version 4.36, and has been there since. When I rollback to 4.35.1 all notifications work correctly again (and keep working).

Also noticed that from 4.36 on, notifications are no longer pushed to the watch when the phone is in dnd mode, so perhaps the issue is linked to this feature...

Phone is a galaxy s7, which hasn't received updates in months, so this cannot be the source.

Anyone noticed the same issues ?

Hello,

Yes, I do have a similar problem with FR945 and Samsung Galaxy S5. Smart notifications are no longer displayed at all.
The app sometimes sends a message requesting for the authorization to display notifications but it is already granted.

Removing/recreating the watch from GCM or restarting both watch and phone did not help.

I have the same problem with my VivoActive 4. I get all my notifications except one app. I've tried all the trouble shooting to get it to work but no dice. The app they won't come through the watch is called TheScore. It sends sports scores and always has worked but since recent updates just this app doesn't work anymore with the watch???? Again all other desired apps for notifications come through the watch just not the one mentioned?????

Hello, I just installed GCM version 4.37 today and the problem is solved for me.

I am experiencing the same issue on my Forerunner 630 with a Samsung S6. I receive notification from other apps except my main one messenger+

For me, the issue is still there in GCM 4.37, notifications for some apps still stop working after some time...
