Heart rate monitoring

Is it possible to use garmin connect for just hear rate when I am on my turbo so I don't have to use my watch or an additional app like Hrv?
My HRT on my tacx is dodgy.
Thanks

  • Not with the app alone. You'll need something to record your heart rate. If you don't want to wear your watch, you  could use something like the Garmin HRM-Pro heart rate monitor. It has the ability to store your HR data without the watch, then later send that data to your watch once the activity is finished.

  • Thanks for taking time to respond.

Wanted it to be live data whilst I did my turbo so unfortunately I can't do it.

It would be could if garmin put this into the connect platform for this purpose.

    Thanks again.

  • Not sure if I understand your request, but if you have a Garmin device (i.e. Edge, or a watch) and a HRM chest belt, and do not want to wear the watch while riding the Tacx, for some reason, then you can link the HRM to the device, let the device aside (though still in the reach of the Bluetooth of the phone), and then you can indeed watch your HR live, on the Garmin Connect Mobile app on the phone.

  • Hi.

Yes I want to see my heart rate whilst on the turbo but don't want watch on or have my edge near turbo.

I just wanted to see my heart on my tablet on connect.

I cannot find this feature so I installed an hrv

App so I could do it.

Please tell me how this can be done on connect.

    Thanks

  • Please tell me how this can be done on connect.

Exactly as I wrote - connect your HRV belt to your watch as an external ANT+ sensor, and the app should then show the HR live.
