Hi all,

I am not at all sports addicted, I just do normal activities.

My watch count my steps and add also my wrist movement while doing crochet Thinkingbut it does not count my bike Disappointed

I set my watch on city bike. I use my city bike every day for at least 10kms, but the watch never count it. As well summer swimming is not detected. How do I set the watch, or these activities are not listed in the watch software?

Thanks for the answer.

  • You have to use the function Recording a Timed Activity. Since you own a simple device without preloaded Activity profiles for individual sports, you have to use the general Timed Activity, and change the Activity type to Cycling or Swiming later in Garmin Connect. For proper handling of individual sports, you'd need a more advanced device.

    Thanks

  • I'm glad to find this reply, but it sure would be nice if the documentation for the device or the app indicated ANYWHERE that the device (in my case, Vivofit 4) does not log anything but walking events, and that we must manually log them and then manually CHANGE THE ACTIVITY TYPE in the app!

    Sheesh!
