Vivoactive 3 - getting notifications for own sms

So ever since I paired my vivoactive 3 with my new TCL 10 pro with Android 10 I'm receiving a notification on my watch for every text I send a text message.

Before every time i would receive a text message it would show up on my watch individually. Now when the convo keeps going in my notification panel, when a nee text from that convo comes in I see all of the convo history as well as the first text of the convo....

I've tried everything, factory reset the watch... Changed some settings, unregister the watch, clear the data and cache on the connect app, tries different sms apps, nothing works... I think it my be the way android 10 handles the notifications..... Because even when I reverted back to my old Samsung s9 again it started doing that as well (android 10 as well). But the watch was paired when the phone was at android 9 and updated to 10 throughout since last year.....

Anyone would have any ideas how to fix? Pretty much I would like to have the text notifications to show as individually texts again and not have it vibrate when I send one..

I think this is an Android 10 issue because I've noticed a similar thing with my Galaxy S8. However, it only happens for me when I reply to texts within the notification. If I open the text conversation in the app and type my reply in there, I do not get the notification. I think because with Android 10 that our response is added into the body of the notification, it's treated as a new incoming alert by Android, which simply gets forwarded to our Garmin. What is interesting is that I don't have this problem when using Signal, so I think it's a combo of being app/Android related.

Yes you're correct, same thing for me. What is weird though is originally my watch was set up on Android 9 but since then it updated to android 10 but was still working like before (no notification for my replies). But ever since I paired it with a newer phone, it started doing that. Hopefully a future update (from google or Garmin) would fix this issue.
