Edge 520 won't pair with ANY BT DEVICE

Hi All,

The Edge 520 won't pair with any other BT device (not just the Samsung SM G900V with android 6.0.1, but all BT devices). I have reinstalled the app, rebooted all devices repeatedly. The message in the 520 is "Waiting for Bluetooth"

The device will also not sync with my PC when connected by USB, which is also a recent failure.

Any thoughts? really appreciate any comments.

    Thanks for that, really appreciate the quick post. Unfortunately none of it worked, There were a couple of suggestions i did not try (e.g. I don't know how to install an older version of the phone app). 520 edge still says "waiting for bluetooth" when i pair it with the phone. The devices see each other, but the pairing won't complete. 

    I can sync via USB, just not via BT to the phone. I may try to pair it to a separate phone to see if i can learn anything. 

    When the problem started, the GC phone app quit every time i launched it (until i reinstalled it). Thanks again, I'm open to any other ideas.

    When you do unpair/pair make sure you first remove the device from Garmin Connect, then in android Bluetooth settings choose "forget" the Edge 520, reboot phone, then pair only using Garmin Connect  while the edge is in pairing mode - From your device, select Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > Enable > Pair Smartphone.
