My Garmin Edge 510 is connected but will not sync to Garmin connect.

Garmin Edge 510 was working fine. This morning 18/10/2020 did a trainer session & ride did not auto upload to garmin connect app on my Samsung mobile phone. Tried to upload ride from 510 but get message upload fails. Turned everything off & restarted. Sync failed message in garmin connect? Still cant upload a ride. Deleted some rides from 510 to make space no different. 

Version 4.36 Garmin connect. Edge 510 version 6.10.

Sync audit message below;

Upload status - not started (NS)

D/load status - NS

Time sync status - failed (timed out waiting for response)

Overall sync status - Failed

Origin+5037_sync_request_message_visible_if_files

Please explain how to fix this problem asap.

  • If you have a Windows computer (different process for Mac), connect your 510 via the Garmin USB cable to your computer then in file explorer the mapped drive will typically be "D:\GARMIN." Your activities should be in the folder "D:\GARMIN\ACTIVITY." Look for the problematic .fit file. You should be able to locate the file based on the date. Then drag and drop the file onto this page - Import Data

    After upload is attempted you should see either the message We don't support the file type you tried to import or Import Complete

    If it fails, zip the fit file and attach it to this thread. We might be able to fix it.
