Samsung S20+ not connecting to Fenix 6x Pro Solar

So it use to work and my watch would give me phone notifications. Then one day it stopped working and will not pair at all. I have reset phone and watch, then later reset network settings. Updated software...tried following the various guides. No joy.

The connect and express apps see the phone, when I go to pair the phone asks if I want to link the two and after hitting yes the connect app looks like it is working on it then jumps to pairing failed. Hitting retry doesn't work either. Switching BT on off on no joy.

I dare yo to suggest a solution I haven't tried!

  • Try removing the pairing from the phone's BT settings first, remove the watch from Garmin Connect and Garmin Express, and then re-pair it from the side of the watch. Also, if you ever paired the watch with another phone or another BT device (i.e. a tablet), remove the pairing from all of them, before trying to add the device to Garmin Connect.

Yes I've done that. Watch was paired to Samsung S9+ which I factory reset. Removed and added via Express many times...always gets to the same point when pairing and fails.

  • Remove it from Express and try rather Garmin Connect Mobile instead

Yes I've tried that but did it again just in case. Deleted fit files in case they were causing some sort of conflict...still no joy.

I also repaired to Express and tried to connect again via Connect. No joy.

  • Watch the video below, and make sure you did not omit any step. If it does not help, contact the Support. Best would be calling, not emailing them, if you want to get the help quickly.

Thanks trux - had followed that video earlier. No joy. Will try Garmin support.

  • Did you find a solution?  I was just on with support and they couldn't fix it.  Now it's with their "escalation team".

I have the S20 and a garmin venu.  They won't connect.

  • Did you find a solution for this?

    I got a fenix 6 sapphire and Samsung s20 5g.

I can connect the fenix and a vivioactive to a s7 and Samsung j7 no problem.

With s20 I get exact same problem.

Tried all basic trouble shooting steps cleared my Bluetooth cache etc.

    • Since it works with other phones I think it might be a software problem somewhere.
  • Samsung Galaxy s2xx model suffer a conflict between Bluetooth and the stadard 2.4 GHz WiFi. If you can switch to 5GHz WiFi on the phone - that solved the issue at other users.
