Uploading pictures no longer working

I dumped Strava months ago when they changed their pricing model, and started using connect more. One thing I started doing was adding post run images to my activities. A few weeks ago it seems to have stopped working. I get the toast message at the bottom of my phone (Oops! Something went wrong while uploading your file.).

I've tried disconnecting from WIFI in case it was something local causing it, but the issue remains.

Latest Connect App available in the play store: 4.35.1

Google Pixel 3xl on Android 11 w/October patch.

If you're referring to tapping the camera icon on your activity, that is working fine for me. Did this start being a problem after the October android patch? I would suggest uninstalling the app, restarting…

That is exactly what I mean. I didn't pay enough attention to it to know if it was since A11 or since October. They both came fairly close to one another.

I'll try reinstalling and see if that helps.

There was an issue about a month ago regarding sending photo with states that was resolved with the latest update. However, your issue appears slightly different, just adding a photo to your activity. Did you check Garmin Connect permissions? If you're allowing all permissions to the Connect app, then suggest contacting Garmin Support. https://support.garmin.com. Chat or call for faster service.

I'm having this same issue. I'll reach out to support and update if they have any advice. (Using a Google Pixel 4 running latest version of Android and Connect)

So, after chatting with them today, it seems they know about it. But Please call/chat with them to make sure they know it's annoying :)

Former Member & TheOzmanRunneth, as a workaround you can do this using Garmin Connect Web on the web browser on your phone. Depending on your default browser, you might get prompted to allow permissions.

It's a bit clunky but it does work.

Thanks, Seilogramp - clunky is right, but it's a workaround. Meanwhile, I've opened a case with support, so hopefully something will get worked out here soon.

Actually that doesn't work either, unfortunately. Got a "BadRquestException" error. Hopefully the tech support folks will come up with a fix.

same issue here on my pixel 3a . I got a feeling google changed something about the way permissions work and garmin haven't caught up
