Why wont reply to text not work

I am new to Garmin but as I have been playing with my new venu I can recive text messages but I can't use the reply feature.. Is there a setting I am missing?

It isn't supported on iPhone. Talk to Apple about it.

i have an android.. LG6.. maybe too old?

It isn't that old if it is an LG G6. It comes with Android 7 and can be upgraded to Android 9.

Check the permissions for Connect, but if it can read SMS it should be able to send SMS.

Do you see the "Reply" option in the watch? Is it disabled or what is happening when you click it?
