Training Load across multiple devices

I have a Forerunner 45 I use for running and an Edge 530 I use when cycling. From what I gather in the manuals, the Forerunner 45 doesn't provide Training Load info, while the Edge 530 does. This certainly fits with the data I can view on the devices. So for ages I've been working on the assumption that my Training Load number and my Training Status are only based on cycling activities from my Edge, and doesn't include any of my running activities from my Forerunner.

However. On the Edge, after I have saved an activity, the Training Load page pops up. When I look at the little graph, there seems to be entries there on days where I ran with the Forerunner and didn't do any cycling. How can that be if the Forerunner isn't providing Training Load info? Is it that the Forerunner feeds that info into Connect but just doesn't have any way of reporting it?

I'm confused.

So what I mean is, I went for a run on Sunday with my Forerunner, didn't do any cycling. If the Forerunner isn't supposed to do Training Load info, why is there a bar for Sunday?
