Hello,

I have an activity on a garmin forerunner 245 witch I can't read on garmin conect . The fit file is maybe corrupted, I've tried https://www.fitfiletools.com/#/ctf#view but I've always the problem. I've the activity on my watch with only time and distance but I can't have more information and it doesn't want to synchronyse with garmin connect.

Any idea of the problem ?

PS : Sory for my English I'm French.

Thank,

  • , try the FitFileTools section remover without any changes. If that doesn't work, please zip the FIT file then attach it to this thread. We can take a look at it.

    Hello,

I've tried everything on the fittools site but nothing is working. I've find a solution by passing the file from fit to gpx on that website : alltrails.com/converter and it's working on garmin connect with the gpx file but I don't have the same distance and same time as my watch. On my watch I have 23.72 km for 1h13 and on garmin connect I have 25.23 km for 1h57...

So I decided to do the same with a file not corrupted and I got exactly the same différence :

0,69 km for 2.25 min and 40.7 km/h max on the fit file and 0.75 km and 3.01 min and 43.3 km/h max for the gpx file...

The gps trace on google map seams to be the same... I don't know why when you convert the file you don't have the same data ??? Maybe Ok for the time but not for the max speed it should be the same.

I've put you all the file attached if you want to have a look. The file corrupted is that one : 2020-10-04-14-41-50.fit

    Files.zip

Thank a lot for your answer,

  • The file corrupted is that one : 2020-10-04-14-41-50.fit

I ran that fit file through FitFileTools section remover and came up with this 2020-10-04-14-41-50-fixed.zip

Is that the same as what you're getting.
