I am having similar issues with mine, but is is happening with, bike, run, and cross country skiing. I end up adding up my lap distances to get my numbers. Plus my distance reading can cuts out in under 5K.

My gps is all over the place i have a brand new Garmin fenix 6 pro sapphire, when i check where i have run the line of my gps is in peoples rear gardens and cuts corners very bad!!! I am very disappointed with the garmin chat team aswell they aren't intrested just say factory reset the watch but its taken a week for the watch to get to know me!!! Who else is having gps signal problems!! If this is not solved by next week the watch is going back

  • At new year and a couple of days after there was an issue with the GPS that made it extremly inaccurate due to expired CPE: https://mightygadget.co.uk/garmin-gps-accuracy-issue-caused-by-expired-cpe-january-2021/

It has been solved now. Have you checked the status of your CPE?

Your watch got maps so before you start you can make sure that it got the correct position. Wait for green GPS signal. Look at the map and wait until the arrow is in 10-20 meters from your real position. Even better position is of course better, but it can be hard to get that good position if you are close to buildings. Now you start your activity.

The problems I have been having has been going on for over a year. GPS works but other functions will stop working. Resetting my watch doesn't fix the problem. It is frustrating to start your workout and spend most of the time hoping your whole workout gets recorded.
