Garmin 1030+ Bluetooth connection problem

Former Member
Former Member

My One + 5 phone and the Garmin 1030+ device are not compatible with each other.

I have tried just about everything that is possible, but unfortunately I cannot find a solution to connect them via bluetooth.

The devices find each other and the code appears on both screens, but after about 25% things go wrong.
I have tried older versions of garmin connect, adjusted all bluetooth settings on my ONE + 5.

All rights allowed for the Garmin Mobile Connect App.
Also Contacted Garmin but I think I will return the device to the seller

  • Is it the pairing that you cannot complete, or does the phone drop the connection to the device despite being already paired? In the second case, make sure you have tried all the tips from the Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide. In the first case, try closing and removing all existing  Bluetooth connections on the phone, and pairing the device with the phone then (initializing the paring from the device, not from the phone).

It is the pairing that i cannot complete.
I've done all the things you describe here.
A friend of mine has a One + 8Pro in combination with a 1030 Garmin and it works there.
If I buy a new smartphone which will work with the 1030+ ???

  • Should certainly work, otherwise Garmin could not sell any. Try with a phone of a friend, or go to a local cell phone store and test one there.
