Cannot ad new device to Garmin Connect app on Android

I am unable to add a new device to the Garmin Connect app on Android. I am trying to Pair a Garmin Edge 25. Keep getting a "Connection to Device Failed"error message

I know due to the issues over the last week or so but according to the Support center that functionality should be back.
