Need stroller running mode!

Garmin is missing a significant part of their demographic with not having a stroller mode for when people run while pushing a stroller or even bike while pulling a stroller. It skews all the stats and shows low performance when people are actually performing better than usual most of the time. Steps are another problem where the step count average and stride length is off because the steps aren't counted whenever you have your watch hand on the handle of the stroller.

  • Regarding steps outside of an activity, the watch is using an accelerometer to detect motion. Same issue for those users that want to track steps when mowing the lawn, etc. When pushing the stroller try placing your watch in your pocket or around your ankle if it will fit.

Also, if you are suggesting a stroller mode, then you should post your idea via the Garmin Ideas form.
