text notifications not working

I have just purchased the Vivoactive 3. i can get all notifications apart from text messages. ive tried everything Google has come up with. Is anyome else having this problem. my.phone is Samsung A40. seriously regretting my change from fitbit

I have the same phone, and notifications work without any problems. Have a look at the thread Notifications for some tips.
