Body Battery

Hello All, My body battery up to a couple of weeks ago would give a normal reading, but since it reads almost flat every day. If I soft rest I get about 50% then over a day drops back to 5% and stays there. I wear it 24/7 and cannot get this to work -anyone in same boat. Vivoactive 4 watch bought in about March 2020. Cheers

  • You may need to rest more or better/deeper. Daily stress and sleeping stress will also negatively impact the BB recharging.

I sit in front of a computer most of the day, but the battery remains all day at or below 5%, so I find that hard to understand when it is flat day after day. If I was that empty I could never do anything. Any ideas.

Check out your HR data and the stress data. The battery will only recharge if there is no stress. That's being detected with the help of the Heart Rate Variability (HRV).

Did you find the problem? I just bought vivoactive 4 and have the same issue. The body battery stays to 5% all day, no charging during the night.

  • What does your stress look like? During the night it should be all blue with no stress.

No it shows more stress than I have durning my normal day, does not make any sense. Yet I sleep ok.  Been going on for months now. I will need to look into my sleeping issue then. Ta

The same here. With my Venu Sq, the body battery just stays at 5% and stress level mostly at high. Even if i Sleep, no charge was made and even i am relaxed, still i am stressed as it says.

  • Permanent high stress means the HRM does not detect any (or just little) HR Variability. Possible reasons are:

    • pacemaker - it won't work if you are using a pacemaker
    • health issue - check with your physician
    • device issue - try using a chest band HRM, or borrow an alternative device

You can also try restarting the watch - in some cases (i.e. after the update), the internal registers may got wrong values, and some functionality may be influenced until the next restart.

Thank you! I don’t have a pace maker. It just failed to be accurate. Anyway, as I dig more into it, I learned that it has been an issue for iOs users and the recent update Fixed that problem. I reset and deleted  history on my watch(not my connect app) and it just got worse. I cant connect to my Phone again! After many trial and errors, i found out that you need to “forget” the watch itself in the bluetooth paired devices on your iphone. Then try to connect again. It works! Now its responding well to my stresses and actual body battery(charged or tired). Thank you for reply tho. God Bless!
