No syncing of steps and intensive training minutes anymore since June 16

Watch: FR235

When I look in the Garmin Connect website, or in the Garmin Connect Android app, it doesn't show any 'Steps' and 'Intensive training minutes' anymore after June 16 2020. It does show this data before that date. On the website, it says 'Synchronise the device in order to see the data', but I sync every day. On the watch itself, I can see the steps per day without any issues, also from after June 16. The activities (running, cycling etc.) do get synchronised without any issues, and I can see them on the website and in the Android app. Just the steps and some other stats are not synced anymore since June 16.

Does anyone know what's going on here? How can I enable the sync again, and have the stats shown on the Android app and website again? I tried syncing both via the USB and the PC app, and via the phone. It says it's synced then, but somehow it's not visible in the stats as mentioned above.

  • I think I found the issue. For some reason, the watch was not set anymore as the 'preferred activity tracker'. Today I set it to that again, and now it seems it's logging the steps and intensity minutes in the app again. Hope the solution can also help others ;-)
