I created a one week step challenge. Starting Monday Aug 3rd. With about six people.
On day two it is still not rendering results or a leaderboard. It is as if it is stuck just prior to the challenge starting.
One person is in Ireland, she reports it is up, rendered properly, and showing the leaderboard stats.
Nobody in the US can see that the challenge has begun.
Additionally, I was in a "month of July" challenge,and it has not concluded and awarded the 1, 2, 3rd place finishers yet. It is stuck. All challenges are stuck (at least in the US)
