Intensity minutes

I am using Fenix 5 and Garmin 820. When I use Fenix it calculate Intensity minutes but when I am using Garmin 820 for Cycling it doesn’t calculate intensity minutes at all. Why is that so?

Edge does not support the Intensity Minutes feature:

From the document How Does the Intensity Minutes Feature Work on My Garmin Watch?

"NOTE: The Intensity Minutes feature is only found on compatible Garmin watches. Other fitness products such as an Edge cycling computer do not calculate intensity minutes during activity."
