There is one news entry about Strava Segments in Garming Connect notifications that won't clear out. How to get rid of it?

Have you tried swiping it away? Clicking it will not remove it.

Disable notifications for the GCM app and then re-enable them

And where is that? I can only find phone notifications to disable. Just to be clear, here is a screenshot of what I am referring to.

Ah, ok, I thought you were speaking about system notifications for GCM. In this case I do not know - in fact I never saw any notification there in my GCM (although I get them on GCW). If opening the notification or swiping it away does not help, try forcing the GCM app to stop and restarting it.

Bump. This is stupid to have this notification whither I'm using strata or not. Please fix.
