July 10k challenge

I completed the July 10k challenge Sunday I completed 7.23 miles but the badge had not been awarded. Does anybody know why

Did you join the challenge before completing the run?

Yes I did . Had no problems last month it was added straight away I did wonder if it was because it was over 10k but I read the challenge and it was just a minimum of 10k

Try editing and saving the Activity (or changing its title) to have it re-parsed. It may be too late, thought, today, since the challenge was already closed. At most badges the retrospective assignment works, but the Challenge badges are a different category, so it is uncertain. It would have been better if you asked yesterday - that would be fixable easily. However, it is still worth of trying anyway. If you are lucky, it may still work.

Thanks but I already tried that too. Yesterday every time I checked it just said it was gathering results so I didn't know yesterday it hasn't awarded it. Oh well never mind. There will be other 10k challenges in sure

I have the same problem I earned the 3min walked and 10km challenges badges and a couple days after I got them they were removed!

I have the same problem

Basically there are two possibilities :

either you mistakenly left the Challenge
or you edited the Activity in such way that it no more meets the conditions for awarding the badge

To verify it, you need to enter the page July Weekend 10k and see whether the link in the top right corner of that page still tells "Leave challenge". If yes, then you are still in, and it is all right - do not click it! If the link is no more there, you left the challenge, and that's the reason why the badge is gone. There is nothing you could do to recover it, because the hallenge was already closed.

If it is OK, and you are still in, then make the 10k run Activity visible for Everyone and post the link to it here, so that we can have a look if we find something suspicious.

Hi thanks for that! I was in both challenges and I got the badges as I got the notification both times for the 3mi walk and the 10km run! I did change my activities from “My Connections” to “Only me” a few days after and I now think that might be the issue but I did the same last month and I still have the badges for all June challenges!! I’m pretty good using Garmin Connect so I’m annoyed that changing the privacy of my activities have removed the badges and points I’ve earned!
