Problem with new Phone

I buy a new Phone, Xiaomi Mi 10 lite 5g, and cant connet my Edge 530.

The BT of phone detect my Edge 530, but when start the pairing the progress bar stops after 1/3 of total and pairing fails.

Can someone helps me.

    I turn off BT on my Phone, then start GC app (with BT off) and start the pairing with Garmin Edge, the GC app ask me to turn on BT, when BT turn on the pairing works correctly.

    This procedure works fine for me.

    Yes, if you read the manual you start the pairing from the app and not directly to the phone.  Seems too many people post here without bothering to read the manual which would solve the majority of their issues.

    If I start pairing from app with BT on the pairing fails, it's works only if the BT is off and then the app turn it on.

    Probably is a problem of Xiaomi, with my previos Phone haven't this problem.

    You give a method, which is helpful, but not details. Markw50's comment adds no useful value in this context just criticism.

    Can you say what Edge 530 firmware and what phone OS version you used? I'm having trouble with Edge 530 v5.50 and Xiaomi Note 9 Pro with Android 10.

    The device pairs and finds the BT and BLE instances but GCM never get beyond 1/3 of the setup. I've tried with BT on and off on the phone and forgetting devices and edge 530 factory resets but nothing works.

    I've opened a support call with Garmin and sent logs but I'm not hopeful for a fix soon.

    I still got the same problem. The pairing stops at approx 25%

    Had the same issue with xiaomi Mi 10 lite 5g. the solution proposed (start GC with bluetooth off and let GC turn on the bluetooth) worked. Thanks a lot for the thread.

    I had the same issue on E530 FW6.2 and LG G7 Android10.0. 

    I have removed GCM and installed an older version from APKmirror. Finished the pairing and then updated the app in the play store. No problems since. 

    Other threads have pointed that there is ia bug in the newer versions of GCM where the pairing gets stuck at 1/3 of the bar.
