Garmin Connect app on phone stuck on "the next few questions will help calculate"

the 3 choices are then: 

- how fast you burn calories

- your body mass index (BMI)

- Your initial step goal

I'm not really interested in those, but the app won't let me get past that screen and actually use it!

Please help!

Just got the vivo active 3 today.  Appears to be synced with phone and the Connect app.  What is going on?

    I have the same issue but it is for my forerunner 45

  • Same here with my new 245.  Unable to use any features or fully setup via IOS.

    You need to reset the phone and watch at the same time. If you get stuck or not connecting turn it off and turn it back on. It worked for me.

    I just got a vivoactive 4, and had the same problem with the Garmin Connect app on IOS.  I had already paired the vivoactive 4, so I did a "forget this device" in bluetooth, so that I could start over again.  I deleted and reinstalled the Garmin Connect app.  After signing back into the Garmin Connect app, it began the process of setting up my vivoactive from the beginning.  It had a problem pairing to bluetooth, but going into settings/phone on the vivoactive and pairing from there worked.  I got a new code to use, and was able to finish the setup process through the Garmin Connect app without any issues. I hope that helps!
