I have the same problem I was l7cky enough to get a Christmas bonus and I've been looking at getting a Garmin watch for awhile when it arrived I downloaded Garmin IQ and set about adding Spotify to it firstly Spotify wouldn't load up on Garmin IQ. I contacted Garmin and received the below response.
Hi Des, I am afraid the Fenix 6 will not be able to download the Spotify app as this does not have the music storage feature sadly. I apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
Is this correct and if so what models have the music storage feature.
