As a workaround, try setting your desired HR zone information using the Garmin Connect online dashboard - https://connect.garmin.com/ - and then syncing your watch again. You can find HR Zone settings by clicking the Devices listing (watch icon) in the upper-right corner and selecting Device Settings for your Forerunner.
