Issues with syncing between the samsung s20 5g plus and garmin connect mobile app?

Are there issues with syncing between the samsung s20 5g plus and garmin connect mobile app? Reason I ask is because I had over 13k in steps yesterday and my app has the steps correct but states it was only 2.23 miles which is incorrect. Can anyone help with this? my sig and i are training for races etc and with it being inaccurate its not helping. Please help!

Where exactly does the app report it? Could you post a screenshot demonstrating the issue? Did you the steps during a measured Activity such as Run or Walk? If so, share the Activity as weblink, and post the link here. What Garmin device do you use?
