Error Unable to contact the Connect IQ Store.

I've had this for weeks now, in the UK. Everything syncs with my Edge 1000, apart from data fields and being able to alter settings in the downloaded items.

I've wiped the Garmin, logged out and so on. But to no avail. No help from Garmin as they don't respond to emails. Any ideas?

Thanks.

  • Where and when do you get the error?

Everything syncs with my Edge 1000, apart from data fields and being able to alter settings in the downloaded items.

Everything apart data fields? I am afraid I do not understand. If data fields do not sync, what syncs then? A screenshot demonstrating the issue might help to understand what you mean.

  • Same for me. I have access to watch faces , apps, widgets etc. but trying to access "data fields" via the "Activities & App management" gives me an "unable to contact the connect IQ store" message. More than two weeks now on Android and iOs. The data fields sync with connect but I can't access their settings menu via the App management. Forerunner 920xt. Spain. Reinstalled connect without success.

My apps and widgets work, and I can download them from the store, along with new data fields...

But if I want to edit a setting in a data field, it gives this error message, and it's really baffled me.

  • And did you try using the Garmin Connect IQ app instead of Garmin Conect Mobile?

Yes I've tried, but to no avail. My Garmin doesn't show up in that app, and I've tried unpairing and repairing several times too.

  • My Garmin doesn't show up in that app

Edge 1000 has the Connect IQ version compatibility of 2.0, while the current one is 3.0, so perhaps there are just no compatible data fields plugins for your device. Contact the Garmin Support, or browse the IQ store, and contact the authors of the plugin that you are interested in, to ask them whether there is a version compatible with your device.

Problem solved. I logged out, set up a new account, and the data fields became available to edit again. So it was something to do with the Garmin not being able to pair fully with my original account.

No loss for me, as I use Strava to analyse my rides.

Thanks for your time and help. Thumbsup tone1
