Be able to track pace/etc on a map view of route

I've came over to garmin after buying a 645M, after time using polar beat and flow with my phone and H10 chest HRM. One of the very best features of those apps are being able to click on the zoomable route map view and pull a slider along and it moves a dot along the route while giving distance/time/pace/HR at that exact spot. It's really ideal for analysing a session and it doesn't seem like anything proprietary, are there any plans for garmin to introduce something like this into connect?

  • It is there. Go to the graphs tab, tap the concerned graph to open it on a new screen, and then drag your finger over it.

Edit: sorry, this one gives just the time, for the distance you can use the web interface instead (works fine on phones too): Garmin Connect Web

  • Thanks for the quick reply trux, what I'm referring to though it's being able to pinpoint a key place on the map view, like this, you can see my start and end points, but as I drag that slider along the bottom, the dark red dot traces along my route giving live stats for that spot, it's ideal too for being able to measure a gps distance of a certain segment of your choosing

That is polar flow, but beat also has it too

It would be great if garmin were able to include something like this in connect, and include the elevation data (something polar beat strangely never did). The polar service is free, like Garmin's, and this feature is sadly missing too on paid platforms like Strava subscribed and mapmyrun mvp

  • You can, but only on Connect Web, it's at least not possible on the Android app.

  • Thanks trux/didney, found it on the full web version, and managed, much appreciated. Hopefully they will transplant the feature to garmin connect android some day natively
