Walking v Cycling

I was in the 50,000 step challenge but was moved to 70,000 step challenge which is fine but it seems people on here are cycling and that stops it being a fair challenge. How do I go into a genuine step challenge??

  • Why would they be cycling to get 70k steps? I do not get any steps for cycling, since I wear the watch on the arm, and the arm does not move while cycling, so no steps can be detected. And despite it I have 100k-150k of steps per week, and do not consider it anything exceptional. There are people doing much more.

I take your point but when i cycle it registers steps...not for the whole distance. Maybe i just to increase my walking! Rofl

Yes, some bumps on the road will certainly count as steps. I do not think there is anything wrong with that. While biking you do similar effort (or often even higher one) like when walking. If you think generating the steps by biking is easier, do it too. I'd tell it is the opposite.
