Live track says its started and mails the link but when people try to view it it come up with yellow box saying 'The activity is not yet complete, but the tracking session has ended' or a different one.

It's been working fine for some time but in the last month has been doing this every ride.

Have a garmin 520 edge and Sony Xz1

Can anyone help?

  • I have exactly the same problem with my 530 Edge + new Samsung A40 + Garmin Connect 4.13

    I mountain bike in France.

Same, I'm using a 1030 and live tracking fails straight after sending out emails, bluetooth always appears to be connected to my phone.

  • I have the same problem. Running with Vivoactive3 and Forerunner 620. Phone is a Google 4 phone. LiveTrack stopped working after 5/28/2020.

Quite the same problem over the past few weeks. I use Edge 1000 with firmware v 14.40 and Samsung S20 +. Hoping for a quick fix as I don't see how to downgrade the firmware?

Translation of error message from Danish: 'No signal. Trying to reconnect '. But absolutely nothing happens!

  • Same problem with my Vivoactive 3 and an LG G8 phone. It appears It is the latest version of Connect that needs fixing. Worked perfectly until the last update.

  • I don't see how to downgrade the firmware?

It is not the firmware that you need to downgrade, it is the GCM app. Use one of many public APK archives. For example APKmirror.com.

Do not forget to disable automatic app updates!

Thanks, I am now on Connect 4.29 - so I hope it will work on my next ride :-)

  • Do not forget to disable automatic app updates, or the GC app will be overwritten to the recent version again!

I agree here's how I rolled it back

    - In Settings-Apps-Connect, delete all data cache and storage

    - Uninstall Garmin Connect from phone

    - Reboot phone to ensure all cache is cleared

    - Set Play Store Settings to Disable Automatic Updates and require manual updates only

    - Go to APKmirror, com website, download Garmin Connect v4.29 to phone

    - Install v4.29 on phone

    - Login into your Connect Accouint and reset all your settings including your Livetrak settings, Strava Settings etc

    - When other app updates are available, update each app manually and don't update the Garmin Connect App

I did this 2 weeks ago and Livetrack has now worked perfect on all of my rides. I use an Edge130.
