Device won't pair with connect app

Hi,

I just bought a Vivosport fitness tracker. I've installed the Garmin Connect app in my phone, but the pairing keeps failing. I've tried multiple times - spent about 40 frustrating minutes on it - all to no avail.

My phone finds and connects to the device no problem, but the app gets about 75% of the way through the process and then fails. I have deleted the device from my Bluetooth pairing history and started the process again via the app by clicking on 'add device' on the app and 'pair now' on the device, entered the 6 digit code that is displayed in the device into my phone, and watched the little status bar get 3/4 way to completion only for it to fail again.

It is driving me mad at this stage. I can't even set the correct time and date because the stupid thing needs to connect with the app first. Can someone please help

Well, I do not know what the problem with the pairing is (I'd suggest contacting the Support), but as for the time - you do not need to connect to the app for that. The watch takes the time from GPS satellites, so all you need to do is going out and turning on the GPS (or starting an outdoor activity).
