GPS is not getting connected and there is an error of over 25% in distance measurements

I tried connecting my device to the GPS before rum yesterday. It didn't..I tried it today too. Same problem continues. After run I find the distance measured byt device is 5..9 kms against almost 7.3kms actual.

What device do you own? When you go (on the device) to the Menu » Settings » About, and scroll down several times till you get "EPO status", what does it tell?
