Stop notifications to old watch

Hi all,

I recently upgraded to a Garmin Vivoactive 3 from a Forerunner 35. I have now given my Forerunner 35 to my wife and despite disconnecting this from my Garmin Connect app (it is now not showing in the devices, only my Vivoactive 3), my text, social media, email, etc, notifications are still showing on the Forerunner as well as my Vivoactive.

Can anybody advise how I can fully disconnect the Forerunner watch from my iPhone/Garmin connect to stop the notifications appearing, but obviously I don't want to stop them appearing on the Vivoactive.

Thanks in advance!

Liam

  • Well, this is the Android subforum, hence not the best place to ask about iPhone, but you could try stopping the BT pairing on iPhone's BT screen. Also make a factory reset (master reset) on your old watch, before passing it to another person. Besides others, it should also stop the pairing too.

  • Hi trux,

thanks for the response. I thought I had posted in the IOS section, so apologies on that one. I tried the settings and ‘forgetting device’ and it seems to have worked! Thanks for the advice Thumbsup tone1
