Garmin forerunner 245 does not sync in app

Hi, my Garmin Forerunner 245 is not able to sync any of my health stats (heart rate, stress, body battery, etc.) after repeatedly synchronising. My steps were synchronised. After rebooting (just turning on and off) my stats were still on my watch but my app started after rebooting. Why am I not able to sync all of the data and do I get only the data from after the reboot? My watch is just 3 weeks old...

  • If the synchronisation seems to be working, but the data is not appearing in your account (or only part of it is transferred), then it very probably means that your device is associated with multiple accounts. It frequently happens for example when you reinstall the application, and inadvertently sign up a new account instead of signing into the original one.

  • Thanks for your advice. Unfortunatelly, I only have 1 Garmin account since I had a Polar watch before. My Garmin did actually synchronise my steps and wake up time. The rest is missing. Is this still possible then? Or can there be another issue going on?

    Yes, that's exactly what everyone else always tells too, but very often it then turns out that they did several pairing attempts before setting up the watch, or that they reinstalled the app because of some troubles. And that's the moment when you can easily add another account without noticing it. So, if you want to exclude this possibility, you should follow the recommended steps, since your case shows the typical symptoms.

    Another possibility is that the FIT file of the concerned activity is corrupted and needs to be fixed, or that the storage on your device is full. If the FR245 is a secondhand device, then it is quite well possible. At a new device it would be less probable, but it can still happen. Connect to the watch with the USB cable, download the activty FIT file from the folder //GARMIN/Activity and try importing it manually by dropping it on the import page in Garmin Connect Web.

  • This doesn't work.

    I have a similar problem, where the FR245 have all the info registered in itself (steps, stress, health, activities, etc), but when sync with APP only activities are sync, all the other information is not. 

    So I followed the steps recommended on the support linked above, wasted 30min-1hour in this for in the end it all stays in the same. Basically what you have to do is disconnect/logout in PC and Garmin Connect App, remove the device, disconnected account, unpaired bluetooth, restarted, etc, and then you login, pair, add FR245 and 1 hour later it stills the same.
